A real-time, online checklist program, eBird has revolutionized the way that the birding community reports and accesses information about birds. Launched in 2002 by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and National Audubon Society, eBird provides rich data sources for basic information on bird abundance and distribution at a variety of spatial and temporal scales.
Audubon Society of Panama has been promoting birds in Panama for over 45 years. Over the past 10 years, Panama Audubon has worked directly in conservation and education about birds and their habitats, through the program of Important Bird Areas. Among our areas of interest are the top of the Bay of Panama and the primary forest of the Chorogo in Chiriqui.
